Batter has to be mixed and stand for a few minutes to thicken up. Quick dough is ready to bake and is for faster preparing recipes. Quick dough can just be rolled out and placed in the oven. You see this in can biscuits or pizza dough. Batter has to be rolled out with a rolling pin.

Bread dough differs from batter because bread dough is thicker. Batter has a soupier consistency it is usually used to coat something that is going to be fried.
