How does a hot air popcorn popper work?

Is it much different from a microwave?

A hot air popcorn popper uses heat alone to pop your popcorn. Unlike the microwave, it does not require any oil to pop the corn evenly.

Yes the microwave is much diffrent then the hot air popper .The microwave bounces atoms around in side of the food to heat it up .Where as to the hot air popp
