Stick with secular subjects such as Santa Clause, Christmas trees, presents, family togetherness, and the magic of the season. Don't include the birth of Jesus.
Concentrate on a holiday theme without placing any focus on the religious aspects of the holiday. For instance, do a play about receiving the perfect gift, decorating for the holidays or hoping for a white Christmas.
