How do you unfreeze a Bank of America account?

I froze my checking account as I was going to be out of the country for several months and wanted it protected.

Go to the bank and ask them to unfreeze it. You will want to make sure that you have two forms of I. D. with you just in case. It is also best if you know that account number off the top of your head instead of having them searching.

The easy way is to contact your branch of the bank and let them know what you want to do.

It is best if you go to the nearest Bank of America branch in person and formally request the account be unfrozen. Have ID to prove you are yourself.

Contact the bank and explain that you voluntarily froze your account and want to have access to your funds again. With account information and proper ID it should be easy.
