How do you treat diaper rash and teething at the same time?

I don't want one treatment to cause the other condition to get worse.

For diaper rash I suggest aquafor or butt paste. They both work great. For teething you can give them any over the counter gel to rub on the gums. It will soothe them. Also for teething if it is really bad try baby tylenol.

For the diaper rash you basically just make sure that you let your child's bottom air out between diaper changes. Then you apply a diaper rash cream on the affected area. For the teething give your child either a teething toy or apply a small amount of baby orajel into his teeth.

I found a combination of Infant Tylenol and Infant Motrin along with Orajel helped the teething. While a layer of A & D ointment helped to aviod diaper rash.

Use a thick diaper rash cream to prevent the rash from getting worse. Change the diaper often and do not let your baby have a wet diaper for very long as it will irritate the condition. Use items like orajel on a pacifier that has been in the refrigerator to help with the teething.

The treatments that are most commonly used do not affect each other. Any diaper rash ointment will help with the rash. For the teething, either an ointment like baby orajel or a chilled chewing toy (these are commonly available) will help greatly.
