You may want to try a hydrocortisone cream or ointment. Apply with the tip of your finger or Q-tip. Cover your head while outdoors where you may be bitten.

The first question is, what kind of bites are they? If they are bites from head lice, I suggest you buy some inexpensive louse removal such as "Nix", you can buy it at wal-mart. Just follow directions on the package. If it is a mosquito bite, purchase a product like calamine lotion because it is mild enough for the scalp.

You can treat bites on your scalp with many things, but beware because they will make your hair dirty. Make sure you don't have to leave the house, then apply calamine lotion. If that doesn't work, try an antibiotic ointment or triple antibiotic cream. If you notice any negative side effects, stop using right away.

It kind of depends on what kind of bites you have on your scalp, but normal bug bites you can treat with the same thing you'd treat them with anywhere else on your body. Try calamine lotion, triple antibiotic ointment or neosporin, just don't get too much in your hair or it will be really greasy.

If you have bites on your scalp you must find out what is causing the bites. THe bites may be a result of lice living in your hair and feeding off of your scalp. Do you notice any itching along with the bites? If so, you may have lice and should get that treated. Once treated you won't have bites.

The best way to treat insect bites on scalp is to do nothing. Don't further irritate your scalp with sprays or any kind of chemicals. If bites hurt or are many, see your doctor.

A Q-tip or cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar will stop any itch as well as disinfect the bite(s). Apply a few times a day until healed.
