How do you treat a blood blister inside the mouth?

My four year old fell off of his bike and has developed a blood blister inside his mouth.

Why not take the child immediately to the dentist? This can affect the permanent dentition. It may be nothing, or may have broken the tooth and need a root canal. Blood blister requires deeper damage. It is so a hematoma, or not. He kept complaining of pain? The tooth was dark? If yes consider a visit to dentist.

You can always rinse his mouth with salt water, or simply just put salt on it. You can also have him rise his mouth with hydrogen peroxide and water. You could even lightly brush it with some toothpaste and a toothbrush. Just make sure that it stays clean and it should not be a problem.
