Beautiful vows are free; everything else is extra. Don't waste money on fresh flowers, "designer" gown or ultra fancy food. Have a friend style your hair, only invite people who are really important to you, and forget expensive favors. Do invest in a good photographer for lasting memories!

Find a venue with a "package deal". They are usually much cheaper and everything is taken care of. The only thing you usually need to add flowers and a photographer.

A good idea I read about is to offer only beer, wine and a "signature cocktail" rather than a full bar. That saves money without resorting to the cash bar.
