Melt the wax with a heat gun (or even just let it sit in the bright sun for a while) and use a paper towel to soak up the wax.

this is how you remove candle wax from a car dashboard. first you will need to heat it up i would use a hairdryer or something like that and just use your finger to get it off. dont use a knife because you might mess up your dash or scratch it

Well it should be easy if it is a vinyl dash. Try using some cloth on a hot day and apply some heat to try and get it to soak into the cloth. Just don't overheat and crack the dash. That may also work for a cloth dash also but maybe not as well.
