It is a card game played by two people. You have to beat the other with a higher number of parts in their hand. It can also be played by 4 players divided into two teams.
Scores are obtained by melding and making canastas. Canasta is usually played with four people. Variations of the game are 2, 3, or 6 player, Italian and Canada canasta.
