I made some with my homegrown tomatoes. Skin the tomatoes after dropping them in boiling water for a few seconds. Stove-cook the tomatoes and mash them into sauce, then puree the sauce in a blender, and strain through a colander/food mill. Add milk and seasonings to taste, then heat.

I found that using Campbells soup and add other ingredients make it a better soup and it is cheaper. I add a can of diced chili tomatoes, and a can of milk, fat free work fine. I do not add any water. This makes a rich creamy soup and it goes great with grilled cheese.

I just saw a recipe that says if you take a can of diced tomatoes or smashed tomatoes with sauce or puree and add whole milk instead of water, this makes a great soup. This is worth a try. I always use milk skim milk when making canned soup.

To make tomato soup you must have a vegetable based broth and then put in diced peeled tomatoes and cook it, then puree the soup and add milk.

To make tomato soup, peel some tomatoes by dropping them in boiling water for a few seconds then peeling off the skin. Crush up the peeling tomatoes and put them in a pot and boil them down. Add some tomato paste and taco seasoning. Finidh with a little cream.
