Arrange cake slices into attractive glass bowl. Pour about 1/8 cup of sherry/liquer. Spread jam, add fruit, pudding, and whipped cream; repeat and chill.

Spread jam on one layer of cake. On second layer put vanilla custard and lastly add whipped cream with cherry to top it up.
