How do you make frosty vanilla milkshakes?

Mine never turn out right, I must be doing something wrong.

Place two scoops of vanilla ice cream in a blender, add about half way with milk, and blend on high. You can make it extra creamy by using heavy whipping cream instead of milk.

I use premium vanilla ice cream and whole milk. Blend the ice cream first and then add milk a little at a time. To change the flavor you can add malt. This will make it a tasty malted milk shake. Adding the ice cream first lets you control how thick you want it to be.

I use 1 cup of all the following ingredients: ice,Cool Whip, vanilla icecream and add enough milk to make it blendable in your blender. Mix to your desired consistency and enjoy!

To make milkshakes all you really need is milk and vanilla ice cream. But if you like a strong vanilla flavor you can add vanilla syrup. First you have to have very hard ice cream and scoop that into a blender and add a small amount of milk.
