First you need brown, green, black heavy paper. The find a tall pipe, PVC, this will be the base of the tree. Cut the brown, green paper into shapes of palms. The trunk will be wrapped in all three colors. Glue the palms on bendable thick wire or plastic rods.

Use 10 gallon buckets! They can be stacked on top of each other and duct taped together. Then you can paint them brown to be the trunks of the tree. For the palm leaves you could use broom sticks and green fabric. Spray the fabric with starch (LOTS OF IT) to stiffen it.
