Cream of potato is very runny mashed potatoes -- so add broth, milk, cream, or some other combination to mashed potatoes until the proper thickness to please, then heat. I like to use vegetable drinks like clamato (pink potato), my wife prefers adding a spoon of mayo/salad dressing for tang.

9 potatoes, 2 onions, 2 yolks of eggs, 1 cup of rich cream , salt and pepper , any vegetables that you like. Boil the pototoes and onions together . Mash it until itbecomes liquidy . season with salt and pepper. beat eggs with the cream stir in potatoes together boil soup until egg is slightly cooked and add vegetables

1 cup chicken broth, 1 diced onion, 2 tablespoons butter, 4 potatoes-diced small, 1/4 cup chopped parsley 1 1/2 cup milk mixed with 2 tablespoons flour Saute onions in butter until soft. Add potatoes, chicken broth, parsley, celery seed, simmer for 15 minutes. Add milk/flour. Simmer soup stirring until thickened.

You need to add 2 T flour to 1 1/2 cups chicken broth. Then add 1 1/2 cups whole milk and potatoes.

This will depend on the thickness of the soup you are trying to get. You would first boil the potatoes and make mashed potatoes, with or without skins depending on your preference. The cream would again be your preference from skim milk to heavy cream, and the more you add the thinner the soup will be.

To make cream of potato soup, cook scrubbed potatoes with their jackets until done. When cool, cut potatoes into cubes. Melt butter in a saucepan and add some flour to make a roux. Slowly add cold milk while stirring until slighly thick. Add potatoes, salt or cooked bacon if desired.
