How do you make cobbler in a Dutch oven?

Use cooking oil to coat the inside of the Dutch oven. Make sure there are hot coals underneath the oven. Pour can of peaches and juice into the oven once its hot. Then, put the cake mix and butter on top of the peaches. Let it bake for 40 minutes.

Making a cobbler in a Dutch oven is a little more difficult than in an oven because you cannot absolutely control the temperature. Place Dutch oven on coals near the edge, not directly in the fire because the bottom would burn. Place coals on top to cook top also.

Put food on a trivet, or you'll just cook the bottom. Then put insulation on top so the heat is reflected back onto the crust instead of out the top.
