You can use a mixture of butter, Parmesan cheese, heavy cream, and throw in a little garlic and parsley, and you have the ingredients for a pretty good Alfredo sauce. If you want it to be completely white, then you will have to do without the parsley, because that wil add green flakes.

Melt 1 oz of butter in a saucepan and add one tablespoon of plain flour, stir till smooth over medium heat. Gradually add milk to desired consistency and add seasoning.
