Put the to layers together with the right side of the material out. Cut six inches into the quilt about two inches apart all the way around. Tie the corresponding ties of the two layers into tight knots. This makes a beautiful, machine-washable quilt that will last for many years.

Start by trimming the edges of your material to make sure it is square. Make a 4" by 4" square out of a piece of cardboard. Line this up in the corner of your material. Cut around the square. Do this in each corner of the blanket. Then cut the fringe around your blanket 3" long and a 1/2" wide.

Place 2 pieces of fleece together. Cut perpendicular strips 3" x 1/2" all along the edges with a 3" square out of each corner. Tie strips together.

Lay both fabrics on top of each other so they line up. Cut along the perimeter into about 3" all the way around. Tie the corresponding ends together, one from each fabric.
