You can add a glaze to white cabinets by applying a natural or poly urethane lacquer. The most common lacquers available are Shellac or Valspar poly urethane varnish. Before applying test these on other painted surfaces, some paints may rub off when using poly urethane varnish.

The easiest way is to just use a satin finish latex paint. That should give them a nice glaze, and protect them at the same time.

If you want them to really shine you can go with a varnish, just make sure you have adequate time to air out the room afterwards.

In order to glaze your cabinets, you must first make sure they are clean of oils, dirts, etc. Any hardware store, such as Home Depot, Lowes, both have glaze in various colors to put on over your cabinets. Directions are also available and glazing is very easy to do.

If you are wanting to glaze these I would make sure they are dry first. Once they are dry you can apply the glaze off and on for fifteen minutes.

Use the calculators to determine the amount you need and also read the instructions completely. It isn't a particularly difficult job but getting consistency of finish across all your cabinets does require you to think through the entire project.
