How do you get rid of the mothball smell?

My grandmother believed in putting mothballs everywhere, I have inherited her house and need to rid it of the smell.

The cheapest way is just to air it out for several days. Open all the windows and use area fans to circulate the air. Use Febreeze on curtains or fabrics.

Start with airing out the house. Wash all curtains, bedding, etc. with baking soda. Sprinkle baking soda on rugs before vacuuming. You can also try Smelleze Mothball Deodorizer.

Mothballs evaporate, so I would suggest airing out your house and opening windows and running fans. Of course, you're going to need to remove the mothballs wherever you find them, but it may be that you have to go room by room cleaning each room out. You'll have to use alcohol to clean areas, like in many wipes.

Boy that is a tough one. I would try Lysol is a bucket of water, and wash everything down. Maybe you could top it off with some Febreeze or Lysol. Whichever is your preference.
