How do you get paint off a floor?

One of my rental units has paint all over the floor.

Paint on the floor can be removed depending on what the floor is made of. If its a vinyl floor a simple bottle of nail polish remover will remove the paint. If the floor is made of hardwood a product called linseed oil will work. Linseed oil is very slippery as should be thinned out with water after removing paint

The removal process will really depend on the type of paint. If you have the can of paint, look to see what is recommended. There are special products made for removing paint. In some cases you can just use alcohol and scrub it off. Be sure that whatever you use will not damage the surface of the floor.

Try solvents. Of course, it depends on the paint that got on the floor and the floor material itself. Sometimes, the only thing that gets the paint off a floor is sanding machine. In my experience, it's easier to cover the floor with laminate panels- easy to lay and rather cheap, and they last long enough.

You can try using steel wool and see if it comes off. Another option is to purchase a paint remover from the store. You can get this from Home Depot or any other major store. I would recommend getting a paint remover. This will do the best thing for you.

Paint on carpet cannot be removed. You will need to rip up carpet and put in new. Paint on hardwoods can be removed with solvents.

You did not specify what type of floor it is on but, a little paint thinner and elbow grease should do the trick.
