Peanut butter! I had really long hair as a kid, and my mom's "hippie" peanut butter (the kind you mix and keep in the fridge) took it right out. The oil is probably what does it-- you could try just using cooking oil, but the PB worked for me!

Rub ice on the gum and as it is hardening up use a fine toothed comb to comb it out easily. Continue to rub the gum with ice and comb until it is out of hair.
