Everyone will say for you to make her leave them but the truth of it is its not your choice its hers. You can offer your support and opinion but there are ways to help them stay together if that is her choice. Encourage counselling!

You do not fix abuse, it only gets worse. I have been in this type of situation and your friend needs to get out now and before he hurts her more and more.

There is no fixing an abusive relationship. Your friend would be best served to leave the relationship, and maybe even seek counciling on coping with any emotional baggage left over.

The only thing your friend can do is leave. They can get a PFA which is a protection from abuse order which restricts contact between them and the abuser. In certain occasions, the abuser must leave the premises instead of the abused having to leave. The police or a nearby shelter can offer mroe input.

Call the cops or get some mates to dish out a bit of retribution. Leave the guy/girl. Never look back.

Your friend needs to get out of the abusive relationship. The problem is that people in abusive relationships gradually got into them and it is hard to make a life change. Abusive people also work hard to undermind the confidence of the abused so they will not leave.

You can't! Encourage the person to leave, and contact the authorities. Assault is a criminal offence, and they should be charged accordingly.
