You can really use just about anything to decorate a heart. Doilies, paint, glitter, markers, and paint. Make sure you use lots of red and white!

I like to incorporate artistic decor for a valentines heart. To me a sketched in design with water color paints is so creative. You may even consider textured paper to give it a nice touch. Glitter is okay but it gets everywhere unless you can figure out how to keep the glitter on.

A Valentine's Day heart is usually decorated with lace, and words drawn with glitter. However, a person can be very creative using other materials including flowers and cotton.
