I have a friend who put a wrong color on her hair before. She put highlights which is black color since the original color of her hair is black. well, It looked good on her. Try putting highlights using same color of your original hair. It wont hurt giving a try.

If your hair color is wrong as a result of trying to dye your hair yourself, then you need to seek the help of a qualified colorist who can correct it. If you received the wrong color for a salon dye job, return to the salon and get it corrected.

Unless your new color is light, I recommend getting it stripped. That will restore your hair to a blond or light brown. Get a salon to do this.

One way to correct a hair color is to bleach out your existing color. Then, you can buy the correct color and reapply.
