Fill a bath 1/3 full of hot/warm water. Add two cap-fulls of detergent. Soak the gear in bathtub for 45-50 minutes. Drain the tub. Rinse the gear, and air dry.

the only thing I can think of is soap, and water,plus a whole lot of elbow grease should get it clean
