The most important thing to choose is the decor. Pick something that goes with the rest of your kitchen. Then next thing to look at is the size. Make sure they are large enough to fit what you need to put in it.

My canisters are wooden on the outside with a plastic liner and wooden lids. They have served me well for over 25 years and still look like new.
