How do you care for a potted Gerbera daisy?

I'm not sure if it can be transplanted outdoors.

Pretty much like any other daisy the biggest thing is they need a little more water than the others. You can transplant them outdoors but only in certain areas. You can check with your local greenhouse to find out what areas you can transplant in. Or you can do a net search and it will tell you there.

Actually it is difficult to keep a pot plant looking good for a long while in the home. It needs full sunlight for the maximum flower production. Also need slightly moist at all time and weak liquid fertilizer and should regular pick off the dead flowers.

Pots should be placed in indirect bright light. Each plant should have its own one gallon pot that is six or more inches in diameter. Soil should include potting soil and peat moss, two to one respectively. Temperature should remain between 40 and 70 degrees all year. Water when the soil is dry/fertilize every month. It can be transplanted outdoors.
