One of the best ways to boost morale on the job is to demonstrate some type of appreciation to your employees. This appreciation can be shown through rewards, bonuses, or merely verbally. Employees tend to be more positive about their work when they realize that their efforts are being recognized.

In order to boost morale, I would have contests depending on the field that you are working in. If it is a sales job, make it monetary, if it is for the sales assistants, make it a day off. You have to read you employees and see what motivates them.

Empowerment helps boost morale - offer commissions for worker ideas/leads, so workers can be in the business of seeking out and creating more business. Happy hours help camaraderie/morale, too.
