I would like to use the auto-fill function in Firefox.

Go to Tools and then select options. In there go to privacy and click the box next to remember search and form history. Then click ok so that the setting is remembered.

I think you specify about the aouto-fill of forms in firefox. To enable this function you may download and install a plug-in named autofill.

Firefox has a rudimentary autocomplete function, but if you want a true Autofill function you need to install an Addon. There is an Auto Fill button for your Google toolbar.

Click the 'Tools' menu, then 'Options... '. Click 'Security' tab, and check 'Save Passwords'. If you want to fill other words, you may need an add-in for FireFox.

Click on the 'options' menu, then click 'Privacy'. Make sure that 'Remember History' or 'use custom settings for history' is enable. If using customer settings, make sure that 'remember search and form history' is enabled. You could alternatively use one of the many various AutoFill add ons that are available.
