In this program, every food is assigned a certain points value based on total number of calories, fat and fiber for one serving size. Each person has a specific amount of daily points that he/she is aiming for based on his/her weight. One should not use more points than alloted.

Flex points are points that you can consume in addition to your regular point allowance. You get a set number of flex points based on your weight and age. You can consume these calories a few at a time or all at once over the course of a week. At the end of the week flex points start over.

Each food is given a points value, much like each food has calories. You are allotted only so many points and must add up the points for the foods you eat. In a way, it is like counting calories, but instead you are counting points. For example, cake would have a higher point count than veggies would.

Weight watchers flex points are points according to what you eat all day. You start out with a certain amount of points, usually like 28 and as you lose weight you have to slowly take points away.
