Lortabs have an ingredient called hydrocodone which is a prescription pain killer. The FDA classifies it as a C rated drug which means it has been studied on animal fetus but not human fetus. It is deemed safe if the provider feels the benefits outweigh the risks of the medication.

Lortab is a pregnancy category C, which means that they don't know whether or not it causes harm to a fetus. However, it does cause breathing problems and may cause withdrwal symptoms in a newborn baby. You should contact your healthcare providor if you are taking lortab and become pregnant.

Lortab is a pain medication, it is considered to be safe if taken as directed by a doctor and for a short amount of time during pregnancy. But it is unsafe when taken in high doses for long periods of time at the end of your pregnancy. There is no evidence of fetal malformation related to Loratab.

Lortabs are a narcotic drug for pain, and yes they can hurt your baby. Like any other drug in this classification, they can cause premature birth, defects, and even death. Best advice, if you are currently expecting a baby, do not take this or any other narcotic containing medication. Try sitting, resting, or Tylonol instead.
