How do I troubleshoot a problem where the music does not play out of the TV?

You also need to connect audio cables to the TV. HDMI does not carry sound. It only carries a picture. You need to buy component audio, or regular AV audio cables to hook up to the TV.

Well the the problem might be that you don't have the right connection. Make sure that you have a straight HDMI cable not a HDMI to DVI. The only other idea I have is to make sure the audio channel is set and that no other connections are hooked up.
