To treat this, you will first need to remove the hair, which can be tricky. Get a good pair of tweezers and remove the ingrown hair. Put peroxide on the place to prevent infection, repeat, then coat it with an antibacterial ointment or salve to help it heal and to prevent licking.

Bringing the cat to a vet would be the best option. Bumps on skin can look like ingrown hairs, but may be something more serious, like a tick or injury. The vet will be able to tell you what the bump is and remove it without harming your cat.

Cook some bacon and feed your cat a small portion of the leftover grease. Don't use topical agents, as your cat will likely ingest them while cleaning itself.

The best thing to do is let your veterinarian check up your cat and remove it by himself. Because if you do the removineg process your cat might scratch you.
