You will probably need to replace the cartrige in the shower valve. Over time they have mineral build up that keeps them from shutting off completely.

If the head is dripping from its connection to the pipe, try buying some plumbers tape at your local hardware store, wrap it around the threads, and screw the head back on. If the head itself is dripping you probably have a leaky valve that a plumber would need to replace.

First try tightening your shower head. If this doesn't work then check the piping some of the copper may need to be replaced. You can test this with some plumper tape from your local hardware store. Wrap it around the head and then replace the valve. If it still leaks then you know you have a bigger problem.

You can stop anything by using "the force". Although it is quite hard to attain and master, the effort it took to get it will be well worth it.

If the water drips when the faucet is turned off, the faucet valve will need to be adjusted or replaced.
