How do I replace a Sears riding mower's drive belt?

You can probably find a diagram under the mower's foot rest. In simple terms, lower the deck, push in the clutch/brake pedal to clear the space needed for removing the old belt, then disengage the blad and pull back on the tension pulley to install the replacement belt.

See manufacturers service manual. Disconnect the battery terminals. Prop up the mower and loosen the drive pulley and replace with certified replacement part.
