How do I pick a good online game for my child?

I'd like him to get some benefit from the time spent playing.

Choosing an online game for your child all comes down to what you'd like your child to learn. Nickelodeon, PBS and FunBrain are two websites that offer a wide variety of both educational and just plain fun games aimed at kids in grades K-8. Many games can be played either with your involvement or as a single player. Have fun!

There are many sites that provide online educational sites for children. These sites tend to have games that help children learn while they have fun.

Go to the website yourself first. Then look it over and see if they have fun ways to help them learn, or if it is just drab. I use Neopets with my kids. A lot of the games are educational, and they still don't know it yet.
