The best time to transplant seedlings is when they have established themselves. Give them a few weeks after breaking surface to transplant. if you transplant too early it will stress the plant and it will die.

One indicator that magnolia seedlings are ready for transplanting is the presence of 5 to 6 leaves and a stronger stem or plant body. Another factor also to be considered before transplanting is its adaptation or acclimatization response to the area that you would be planting. It if remains healthy since it was transferred, then it is ready for transplanting.

Magnolia seedlings are ready for transplanting when you see its body strong enough to be transfered and has more leaves. Maybe 4 to 5 the seedlings from the soil, and healthy seedlings of course.

Magnolia seedlings are fragile until their stems make the transition from soft, green fiber to light brown "wood." For best transplanting result, handle seedlings with care. Magnolias seedling are easily damaged, which can cause them to die.
