First, you have to ask yourself what you want to do. Are you going to run a marathon, enter a CrossFit competition, or play basketball? Determine what areas you are weak in, related to your ultimate goal and focus on becoming really good in those areas.

Figure out where you are and where you want to be, and then figure out what it will take to get there. Set goals based on the initial steps.

Set small goals that you know are attainable. When you reach the goal, set another goal that you know you can attain. Keep a picture of yourself on your refrigator so you will not binge eat.

I 'd research fitness online, then compile a list of exercises that are realistically achievable for me and then base my goals from the workout that I've compiled for myself.

To set goals you need to find your ideal. To start, find pictures of people who are fit and post them on your wall to keep you on track. Do some research to find out how many calories you need to eat and how many hours of exercising to reach your fitness goal. Then start working out and dieting.

The key to setting fitness goals is to make them measurable and to break them into small steps. First determine an overall goal like losing 50 pounds. Next break that goal down into small steps like eating fewer calories and burning more calories per day. Finally determine the precise exercise schedule to follow and exact calories to eat each day.

Do not set big goals , because that will stop you even from starting doing fitness. You should be advised by a professional fitness trainer.

The key to setting goals is that you don't want them to be too easy or too attainable. Start with a baseline (where you're at now) and set increments.
