You can go about eliminating Bermuda grass at any time when the grass flourishes and the leaves are prevalent, usually during the months of of March through November in the Northern Hemisphere. Use a select herbicide like Ornamec, Fusilade, or Grass-B-Gon with a one or two-gallon sprayer. Spray the mixture according to the label directions directly on the leaves.

Bermuda grass is very tricky to get rid of. It hates to grow in shade so shading it out is a possibility. What you need to do it mow your lawn, wait a few days and use a spreader sticker with some kind of herbicide. Round up and other chemicals will work but be ware of other plants.
