The earwax connects with the water, and that's what makes the unpleasant feeling. Try tilting the head to one side, try to clean the ears, or visit an ear doctor.

There is a product out there called Swim Ear which comes in a white bottle with blue writing on the front. You can purchase it at any drug store or any place that has medications. Basically you just put it in your ear and it dries the ears out. It's better than shoving Q-tips down there.

There are ear cleaning kits which both put a saline solution into your ear and remove excess water. The saline solution should help dry up some of the water there. Also helpful, sometimes, is tilting your head and shaking to help drain excess water. Cutips may help as well.

Over the counter drops especially made for that contain alcohol. Read the ingredients. I learned this a long time ago. I always get water in my ears from swimming or washing my hair. A few drops of alcohol in your ears, it will evaporates and take the water with it.

There is a quick, easy, and cheap solution. Get a bottle of rubbing alcohol, take the cap off, fill the cap with the alcohol and pour in into your ear. Let it sit for a second and then turn your head and let it drain out. The alcohol breaks the surface tension of the water and works almost instantly!

Placing 2 drops in the ear with water and laying with that ear up for 5 minutes should help dry the ear. This can be done for 3 to 4 days. Do not use a q-tip in the ear. If it continues seek medical help as it maybe blocked by built up ear wax.
