Transmission slippage is a big problem, the easiest way to fix it is to replace the fluid and put something to thicken it up when you put the new fluid in. Lucas products typically work best, but for a full fix a rebuild is probably in order.

Start the engine, cycle the transmission through all the gears, and put it in park. Check the transmission fluid with the engine running in park. If it's low, top it up. If it's brown or burnt, have it replaced. If that doesn't work, have it serviced by a qualified mechanic.

Typically the only way to fix a transmission that is already slipping is to rebuild it. You need to buy a kit that has clutches that can be used instead of the older slipping ones.

The best way to fix a transmission is to start with a transmission flush in order to get the transmission cleaned.

We can have transmission filter and fluid replacement to fix slipping transmission. It seems the engine is really struggling to pick up speed. Engine's rev's will be over 4000 to 5000. Go for a technician drive and confirm the slipping.

The first thing to do is to check the transmission fluid level to make sure you have enough fluid in it. Other than that the most likely cause would be that the clutch discs inside the transmission are wearing out. If this is the case, the transmission will need to be overhauled.

The first step is to start your engine, and then cycle the transmission through all the gears. After doing that, put the car in park but keep the engine running. Check the transmission fluid and top off if necessary. If that doesn't work, you'll need to have a mechanic inspect.
