The best way to find yellow pine, or any other sort of driftwood or jetsam, is to first find a stream or waterway downstream from an area where that type of wood is or was harvested. Check in sheltered coves, or along the banks. A net or pole helps.

From what I can find there are no yellow pine fish. There are places called Yellow Pine where you can fish though. There is a Yellow Pine fish hatery in Pine Colorado to visit.

yellow pike are easily caught with worms. try fishing with a slip egg weight on the bottom. Yellow pike hit fairly hard and fast and often strike in large swarms.

You will need to have a long fishing pole with a double hook on the end so your are able to catch this large fish. You will also need to get live bait since this is what yellow pine feed off of. You will need a lot of patience since since they are hard to catch.

Well, you don't. Yellow Pine is not a fish. Yellow Pine is a lovely campground in Utah with the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail, I would suggest an outing there for excellent hiking, camping and fishing- Utah is an undiscovered gem in our national wilderness, and very unspoiled by tourism.

I'd rather fish for Yellow Pike, aka Walleye. They are top predators and will respond well to live bait and to lures that resemble baitfish.
