The insurance company you have should be able to find the rates for you or in some instances they may be able to write this new policy for you.

Liability coverage does not cover storms. Depending on where you are going there are seperate policies for wind, hail, etc. Liability insurance covers damamge you are personally responsible for causing.

You must be asking about property insurance and not liability insurance. Liability insurance has more to do with personal risk and traits instead of where you live, i. e. coastal areas. Contact your insurer to get underwriting specifics on coastal areas or contact FEMA.

Your best bet is to talk to an insurance agent who is located in the area to which you will be moving. The biggest thing to know, however, is that you absolutely must get both homeowner's and flood insurance policies. Also, your insurance premiums are likely to be much higher than you are used to paying.
