I always suggest taking your old phone and the new phone to the company from which your phone service comes from, and get them to switch all your contacts to ensure that not one is lost.

First you have to sync the phone to the computer and then you have to plug the new phone and sync it again. The contacts which you have saved in the first phone will be saved in the new phone. When you sync the first phone make sure that hotsync reads. Then plug in new phone.

First, sync the phone to the computer, then just plug the new phone in and sync it again. All the contacts will be saved in the new phone. When you sync the old phone make sure hotsync reads: phone -overwrite desktop under custom menu. Then next make sure customer menu reads: desktop overwrite handheld. Then plug in new phone.

Palms are very tricky phone. They do not save the contacts to a sim card, nor will the copy the current contacts to a sim card. Your best method to export your contacts is to use the palm software that was provided to you in the box or you can download it online, and then sync with your computer.

Your palm treo has blue tooth. You can blue tooth your contacts from your old phone to your new phone. You can do this via blue tooth. If you new phone is internet capible you can hook them both up to the computer.

You have to do this manually. Some phones will let you export them, but the Palm Treo is trickier than most.

The Palm software will have an option in File->Export to export your data to various formats. If both phones have Bluetooth the easiest way might be to send your contacts from your old phone to your new one over Bluetooth. You should be able to select all the contact cards and send them.
