To check whether your current license is active, suspended, or otherwise, you should be able to call your local DMV, and find out for free. The only thing you'd have to pay for would be a reinstatement fee if it's been suspended, or a renewal fee if it's expired.

The fastest method to check the status of your license is to contact the department of motor vehicle in your state. The Department of motor vehicle is responsible for maintaining the records of register drivers in each state. Your state should list the department in your area.

You need to go to motor Vehicles and pay for an abstract of your driving history. this will tell your status

You can go to the DMV and have the check it for you. They will be able to give you all the information for free.
