Your fig is hardy to 15 degrees F, so if up north, container plant so the fig can be moved indoors. The fig prefers a great deal of sun, so container plants may dry out quickly. Leaves will turn yellow and drop if not enough water. Water mature trees thoroughly 1-2 wks. Fertilize judiciously if potted.

Place in full sunlight and water regularly but not so much in the winter. Prune during growing season. Repot every 2-3 years, feed regularly but not during the winter.

Your fig tree should be planted in an area where it will receive full sunlight for at least 8 hours a day. If you live where it gets cold your fig tree should be planted in a container so that it can be brought in during the cold season.

If you are having a brown fog tree problem then you will need to water it now. If you let the condition get worse then you will loose the whole tree.

We have a brown turkey fig, planted 2 months ago, not in direct sun but does get about 5 hrs. There is some fruit already on it but now has lost all its leaves. They just dropped and did not turn yellow first. What is our problem.
