How do I boot from CD on an IBM Thinkpad?

On some computer you need to hold the cd on start up. Other however require you to set it up to boot from the cd drive in the bios. Not knowing the model I cant say which you need to do for sure.

Power on the Laptop. When you see Thinkpad on scree, press 'F12' key. You will be presented with the boot from options. Select CD/DVD ROM to boot from the CD and press 'Enter' key.

Insert bootable CD in cd drive. Power on the laptop. While booting a message will be displayed " Boot from CD DVD... " or You can press F10 for booting options and disable booting from harddisk.

Open the IBM Thinkpad and take all of the Unix files and load them on a blank CD. Close these files and open Madden NFL on a Wii system. Open the new CD and go to fourth and ten on the Madden game and punt.

Just place a bootable cd into the cd drive and turn the think pad on. If it doesn't boot make sure boot from cd rom first is selected in the bios.

First time you can switch on your computer and inserted the disk you want to boot. The next step is press the BIOS Key and enter to the BIOS setup. You can select boot device priority option. Please select first Boot Device as CD ROM. press F8 key and exit with saving. press any key to boot from cd.
