How do I become a games tester?

Normally having a friend on the inside is the best way. There's also a few ads on craigslist in etc. for it. Doing it for a living normally doesn't pan out since they don't pay enough.

There are many sites that will lead you to believe begin a Beta Tester (game tester) is as easy as signing up, beware of these ads. Find a company that is developing your favorite games. Send a professional email, expressing your interest in become a beta tester. If they're looking, they should get in contact with you.
