If combustible cleaning chemicals or gas additives don't clear the blockage detach the throttle body(if fuel injected) or carburetor from the manifold and manually clear the blockage from the manifold with a bottle brush, and a shop vac, if something more solid you may need a small extensible claw grabber.

You will need to remove the manifold from the throttle body in order to have access. They sell cleaners that are safe for this purpose at your local auto store.

There are several cleaners available through auto parts stores. The best way is to first clean your throttle body with carb cleaner then use a commercially avaiable cleaner. Using an introduction device that comes with the cleaner hook it up to a vaccuum line and let the subsatnce run through the engine while it is running.

To clean intake, remove the air box, unlug anything that is pluged into it. Loosen top end. Use a tooth brush and some spray cleaner.

If the intake is only slightly dirty you can buy a special can of solvent that is sprayed into the intake opening and creates a foam that removes build up and deposits. To do this thought you will have to remove the intake tube and possibly the throttle body and air box.
